Putting my life on hold?...

I want to try new sex positions, move in, get a pet, get engaged, have a family with my SO. But the answers I all of these request have been no.. He doesn't want to do anything until I'm out of school- which will be 2021 since I'm spending a little extra time in college. The sex positions, he just doesn't want to do.. like why not? I feel like the life I would like to begin with him is being out on hold-

Neither of us are religious. There is an age gap- he's older than me by seven years. I just feel like there needs to be a compromise but he's not given in.. Have any of you gals felt this way/do? 😕
