How long did (or would) it take you to forgive your husband for cheating on you?

I do not want or need any negative comments. I am only looking for answers from people who have moved on and had a good and happy relationship with their spouses. Me and my husband have two daughters and we do love each other very much. I just feel stuck in the past, it happened about 4 months ago. My little girls is 7 months so I still am dealing with some baby blues as well as depression from being cheated on. Sometimes I feel like it will always bother me and other times I feel like I am working through it.

my partner cheated almost a year ago. it still feels like yesterday and feels VERY raw

It's something that takes a LONG time. It varies from person to person. But first you need self love and self acceptance. Talk to a counselor because it does help a lot

Boyfriend and I on day one discussed this. You or I cheat, we're done. No ifs, ands, or buts. On day one you knew how I felt about it and how disrespectful it was, so no excuses allowed. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don't think you can put a time line on it, there are so many factors that play into that type of thing.

It didn't take me very long to "forgive", but gaining trust and comfort is a long process. It has been almost three years, and only now am I at a point where I don't question his actions all the time in my head. I always said Id never stay with someone who did that to me, but when it happened my intuition told me we weren't done yet. Now we have been together about three and a half years and have a beautiful baby girl. Looking back, I'm glad I stayed, but I would never lie and say it was easy. For a long time I didn't really trust him, I would look through his phone (which he has told me I can do anytime), constantly want to drive past his work just to see if he was there, and just generally stress. Now I finally don't do those things. Sometimes I still think about the fact that it could easily happen, especially since I dont check up anymore. When my anxiety is bad, it plays into that a lot. It definitely takes a lot of open communication both ways, and like someone else said, a therapist would be really  helpful. And if he isn't willing to go, even going by yourself could be really good. You could always invite him  to one of your sessions later. Sorry this was so long, but hopefully it helps.
