Helmet?

Okay so my sons pediatrician told me to take my son to the neurosurgeon and see if he needs a helmet. Which he prob will. He has a little bit of a flat head that’s all. Has anyone gone thru this with their baby?!whats it like? It’s called brachycelethy or something like that. Just a mild case

Plagiocephaly.
I was told I would need this for my oldest daughter but it would not be covered since it was not a congenital condition. My daughter was 6 months old. 
I spoke with some other ethic childcare workers, they said in their country they would sleep the babies on their stomach (to prevent further flattening). It somewhat corrected but it’s not perfectly symmetrical. 
My daughter is 5 now and has long hair, you can notice it if you feel that it’s not perfectly round. Still beautiful tho ♥️
Also her dad had the same thing. Flat back of his head but I think this was due to their large head shape and how they slept as infants. Most ppl say sleep on back bc of SIDS

This happened to my sister, they sent my niece for the same thing. She ended up not needing one, they just suggested more tummy time during the day. 😊 Good luck to you & your little one!

I won't be much help but my boyfriend's aunt is Pakistani and she put plates on her baby's head when he was born (tradition or something like that) and he had to wear a helmet.
