Baby’s room??

Question

We live in an apartment outside SF. Baby will be with us for the first few months in our room and I’ll move her/him into their room later. He/She will share a room with my husband. 
Anyone else have a similar situation where they just do not have a big enough place to give their child their own room? I don’t think they need one until they are older. 
It’s really hard for me being an interior designer and not being able to decorate to the extent that I want. We are hoping to move to a bigger place before the birth. I’m only 5 weeks so we have time. 
Any tips are welcome! Please no judgments. This is reality...

I live in a small one bedroom apartment and just didn't have enough time to save up to move before she will be born. So we have our room an her room set up together and then next year during the spring we will move so she has her own room. I feel like they don't need there own room until you have them sleeping in there crib. My daughter will be I'm a bassinet for the first few months.

I feel the same way baby will be sleeping in our room until she gets older especially since we’re going to be having family over to help we want to be able to keep our spare room as a guest room. Not to mentioned we live in a 2 bedroom house. we’re going to decorate where her crib is at but there’s nothing wrong with it; as she gets older we’ll definitely give her her own room and decorate it 🤗🌸

I thought that it was just me that struggled with not being able to give my baby her own room. We live in a 1 bedroom apartment and my baby is 4 months old. Our bedroom is small so with our queen bed and baby's small cot/Fisher Travel bed there isn't room for anything else. At the moment we can't afford to move so we make it work. The challenge is my baby has outgrown her bed...she is about 25 inches long! The next idea is maybe to put a baby bed in the living room which is awkward. I don't really have solution sorry.

We had twins earlier this year and they stayed with us in a double bassinet pack-n-play. We had a 1bd apt with a den, but the den quickly became storage for all their stuff. We upgraded our living quarters as well as bought another pack-n-play. They are still with us in our room but in separate beds. They are almost 16wks old and we don't plan on moving them to their room til they're about 6mon old,

I live with my parents and sisters right now, so baby and I will be sharing a room until we move out someday haha. Nothing wrong with sharing space with the baby, they won't know the difference until they are much older anyway :)

It’s recommended that they’re in your room for the first 6-12 months. So you’re more than okay! 😊

My in laws were nice enough to completely renovate their garage for us & turned it into an apartment. So you're not alone in the whole not having a separate room for the baby. I'm going to move our living room around to fit the bassinet & some of the babies stuff until we buy a house in a year or so. Like you said babies don't really need a room of their own until they're older.

We live in a 2 bed south of SF! Our second bedroom is our spare room now so we plan to just rearrange it to make some room for the crib/changing table but the room won’t be a typical nursery. It makes me sad to not be able to decorate the specific space for the baby but we plan to move out of the bay around this time next year and buy a house!

I have a 3 bedroom house and my son ended up in our room anyways just to save our sanity.  Hehehe.  He is 8 months and needs to be moved into a crib (he is climbing out of his pack in play that is next to our bed 😱) which will not fit in our bedroom... so into his nursery he goes!
