Why did you get married?

This is coming from a non judgmental place but it seems like some of y'all are married to just say youre married or something. Like some of y'all legit talk about your husbands like they're awful people. And I get that marriages have hard times & you won't always like the person. But I've actually read how women have been raped by their husbands or how all their husbands do is lie about like every single thing. Like why would y'all marry these people? Just because somebody proposes doesn't mean you have to say yes. I'm sorry but I think some of y'all need to think more highly of yourselves because I just don't understand. And I'm not looking down on anybody, we all go through things and make choices that may not be the best for us but reading some of yalls stories.. I just don't get it. I really wish society would stop teaching girls / women that acquiring a husband adds to your value cause I really think some of y'all just get married for the wrong reasons smh.
