Baby and TV

DH is a good man and father but sometimes after a bit of playing with our 7 month old daughter, he turns the TV on (sports usually) and they watch together. I tell him it's proven that TV is no good for babies brains but he challenges me on that, stating if there's any research done, it's likely with only a handful of kids. So (naturally 😏), I looked for the research proving him wrong. Granted I didn't dig super deep, but I was unable to easily find research proving my point with large scale sample sizes.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Statistics? Articles? Links to the studies I'm looking for?
