so i’m still a virgin, and not planning on having sex anytime soon. but i want to take birth control or get an implant.how do i tell my mom?

having a parent in your corner is a great idea. they're usually more supportive than you think. she might be very proud of you for making such a mature decision. if you feel safe and able to tell her, then it sounds like a great idea. she can probably offer her own experience and advice to help you make your decision.

It’s important to be able to discuss sex, especially safe sex. Talk with your mom and let her know why you’re thinking about birth control options. Do some research as to what would be the best option for you and talk to a health care provider as well. Good luck!

Just talk to her but you posted in the IUD group so idk if you were thinking of getting the iud but for your situation the iud might not be the best.
