Tips on how to cope with missing a partner who’s currently deployed?
I’m twenty years old and a college student. Late last year I really wanted to party and hook up with good looking women. I didn’t want any commitment because I have a lot going on. Well I went online because it’s hard to even meet gay women my age when I pass as a straight person so easily. So I’m swiping online and I come across this beautiful woman that made my jaw drop. I seriously didn’t even want to text her because I figured I didn’t stand a chance 😂. But she messaged me and I loved her personality. But I didn’t want anything other than a friendship with her because she lives in another state. Well she’s persistent and came to visit me anyway. And after having her visit me a couple of times throughout months I realized I needed to make her mine. She’s just that special. The problem is that she’s been deployed and I need to find coping mechanisms for myself and for our relationship. She’s depressed right now because she’s away from her loved ones. I miss her so I get sad and she feels that...can anyone who’s been in a similar situation give me some advice? Thank you.
