Choosing Daycare and getting discouraged.

Me

I’m looking up daycare in my city and it’s so darn expensive!

I’m a school teacher and I’m thinking it isn’t even worth it to work! What the heck?

La Petit Academy is around $900/month and others are about $35/day or $700/month

I just don’t see how this is even possible. We don’t have any family that could babysit for us, but I really want to keep working.

How did you do it?

How do you afford daycare?

How do you find a daycare that isn’t sketchy?

Is there a rating system?

I’m considering staying home and teaching online school for $15/hour a few hours a day. Ugh.

Edit to add:

I’m a full time teacher and make about 2,200$ per month. My husband makes between 4-5k per month. So having a daycare cost 900$ and only have about $1300 left over from my paycheck is crazy. It just makes me wonder if we can go without the $1,300 if I stay home.
