Midwives brew? My story

So yesterday I was 38+6 and I was so over being pregnant. So I attempted the midwives brew on an empty stomach at 1:45. I had some diarrhea and nausea and I just kinda hung out around the house until I went to get up to make my son a snack at 4:45. And my water gushed out. I ran to the bathroom to make sure it wasn’t pee and sure enough it was my water. So I called my midwife. We set up my birth pool and got everything ready. And my contractions were coming every 4 minutes. She got there at about 7 and I was managing really well. When things got too intense I got into the pool. She had me start pushing. After an hour she thought baby was stuck and I was starting to lose all calm I’ve had up until that point. We had to call an ambulance and have me transferred to the hospital. And I was gushing blood at this point. And I was screaming when a contraction came and pushing without being able to stop it. We got to the hospital and they checked me and said I was only an 8 and baby’s sac was still intact. I was screaming and pushing every time a contraction came and I had a nurse trying to get me to stop pushing and calm down but I just couldn’t stop the pushing. The doctor broke my water and went to get in a gown and gloves to catch the baby. Well I started screaming that she was coming out as my body was bearing down and the nurse was telling me to stop pushing and I just yelled “ I can’t” as my body bared down as hard as it could and my daughter was born with that one push. The doctor only had gloves on and handed her to me. In less than 5 minutes of breaking my water she was born. And I was angry at my midwife for not checking me. If she would have and broke my water I would have been able to deliver at home. But she had me pushing when I was only an 8. But I still had my baby girl naturally and she was so alert right after she came out and perfectly healthy ❤️ miss Adaline born at 1:07 am at 6 pounds 13 ounces. 19 inches long. And breastfeeding like a champ.
