My birth story finally!

So I was due Nov 30th. I always thought I would go into labor before then but my little bundle of joy didn't come till Dec 4th.

I went to the hospital to get checked on the 3rd of Dec due to high blood pressure. They monitored me for an hour and my blood pressure stayed high, i also had some protein in my urine. Since i was already past my due date and getting irregular contractions they decided to admit me. I was already at a 3 so they inserted a balloon to help. This was the worst and most painful part of my whole labor. Once it was inserted it wasn't too bad though, just the process of getting in place hurt like hell. (This was at 9:30pm) They started me on pitocin right after but in small doses. I started having regular contractions every 3-5 mins but they soon faded out. They would come and go the whole night so I didn't get much sleep. It wasn't till about 10am the next morning that the contractions started up again. And they were strong. The nurse came in to check how dilated i was and i was at a 6. Since there was an hour wait for the epidural i immediatley asked for it. By the time that i got the epideral i was at an 8. 30 mins later i was at a 9 1/2. I started doing so practice pushes to bring my baby girl down. I took it real slow since i didn't want to tear like i did with my first. Since my baby was doing perfectly fine they let me go at my own pace. I pushed slowly for about an hour. The doctor came in just in time. I pushed my baby out in one contraction as soon as they stepped in. I didnt tear at all!! I am sooo happy with how everthing went. I was in active labor for about 5 hours in total.
