Do you believe smoking weed is a sin? And one can go to hell for it

I am Christian and i basically live a good life and i smoke weed. I was just curious if it’s a sin and will i go to hell for it. If you say yes PLEASEEEEE explain below.

The Bible also talks about being “sober minded” all throughout 1 Peter, but especially 1 Peter 5:8. I also don’t think smoking weed or doing any other drugs is treating your body with respect as it is a temple of the Holy Spirit, as we’re also instructed to do.

God gave us plants to use as medicine. Any of God's gifts can be used incorrectly causing that gift to become a sin. Drinking alcohol isn't a sin but being an alcoholic is. Food is definitely a gift but overeating and using food to self medicate your depression is a sin. Sex is a great gift but we have tarnished that gift and use it for very sinful things. And I believe marijuana is also a gift that God gave us. It has a lot of medicinal qualities and used correctly it can help us. Plants are one of many many gifts we were given by God.

I think it depends on you and your convictions and relationship with God. For some people alcohol is a no no because of what it opens up to. I on the other hand have a few drinks (when not pregnant) and I’m 100% ok with it. 
I think it’s more about moderation and looking at the reason behind why you would want to use anything, be it alcohol or weed or cigarettes or anything. 
I personally wouldn’t smoke weed even though it’s legal here. I just know myself and I have an addictive nature. I’m careful about alcohol for that reason as well, we have a family history of abuse on both sides and don’t want to risk that. But God also has given us things to enjoy and delight in. I enjoy a good drink with my husband and enjoy each others company at the end of a day or week or to celebrate. 
All that to say, will you go to hell and is it a sin? Depends on your stance on your relationship with God. Do you serve Him to try to make up for all the “wrong” and hope to make it to Heaven or do you believe that He has saved you and He is the only way into haven? Do you have a relationship with him. If so, I would go there first and see what he convicts you of on the matter. If you feel like he’s saying it’s a hindrance for some reason, and you continue to smoke it then yeah, I would consider it a sin. Are you addicted? Yeah, a sin. If it’s in moderation and just here and there? Tough to say, again unless he has convicted you not to. 
Oh the other thing, if it’s illegal in your state then I would say a sin as well because it falls under living under the authority of those above you kinda thing.

Yes anything that pollutes, cause a drunkenness or high is a sin. Weed, alcohol and psychodalic (how ever you spell it) is used for witch craft.  So when you smoke those things you give demons permission to take up residence in you. Your body is supposed to be a temple for the holy Ghost. But when you pollute it you're leaving it for satan to use. Be careful of those who will lead you to hell with false interpretations of scripture.

Yes I think it's a sin because like other commenters mentioned it alters your mind and you're not sober minded or in the right mindset. Just like how being drunk is a sin. It alters your mind and perceptions and can cloud our judgement. God is clear he wants us to be clear minded and focused on him. You don't go to hell based off of works, you go to hell if you don't believe in Jesus and deny him, BUT with that being said, if someone is knowingly participating in sin and not repenting of it then that is not a true mark of a believer and I would seriously question if they were saved. After all Jesus is very clear  “Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' shall enter the kingdom of heaven. And I will declare to them "depart from me! For I never knew you, you who practice lawlessness!" Jesus is very clear that even people who say they are believers will not enter the kingdom of heaven, there has to be a real sacrifice and giving up ones sinful life to follow Jesus. It's not about only "living a good life" it's about turning from sin daily and spreading the word of God.

I know Christians that smoke cigarettes and drink wine. What’s the difference? I don’t believe smoking weed is a sin (it’s a habit) however, if it causes you to ACT out of character then I say choose wisely.
If it doesn’t interfere with your love for God, His people or your service to Him...do you until the Holy Spirit convicts you to do otherwise.

In 1 Timothy 4:4-5, Paul states, “For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.” The key part of those verses is “if it is received with thanksgiving.” 
Marijuana can be good or bad depending on how you are using it. If you can receive it with thanksgiving, acknowledge that it is from God, and use it for good, then it is good. Using marijuana in a medical manner, then, is good because you can thank God for it. 
In the case of smoking marijuana, can you really thank God for it as a gift from Him and use it for good and His glory? Personally, I couldn’t justify it that way and therefore I refuse to smoke it.

Abusing _______ ( insert weed, alcohol, prescribed pills, food, sex) is a sin. 
Using all of these things appropriately are not a sin.
Cannabis is medication, and if used properly is safer than pharmaceuticals. I’m a Christian, I serve on missions and worship. I also use cannabis to aid my severe anxiety and PTSD.  Not out taking bong hits and sleeping all day.

I’m not really sure whether I could be considered Christian as I’ve never grown up in a church. I also live in a legal state. I still believe though that I have a very strong relationship with my God and he has paved my way; no matter how hard or humbling it may ever get, I know he paved my way just for me because he loves me. I say all that to say I too smoke, but I don’t see myself going against God by doing so for he knows me and my reasons, and I do believe he loves me just the same. Hope that helps ❤️🙏🏼
