Am I alone?
I have a 6 year old who begs for one on one play time constantly. My husband is very good about this. He enjoys being silly and rough housing and such. I do not. I’m more serious and like to maintain order. I find I don’t mind controlled play, like coloring or board games. But when she wants me to get up and run around and dance and wrestle and such, I hate it! I try and do it sometimes bc I guess she needs that. But I struggle so badly to use my imagination. I don’t enjoy it and I just try and do enough to say I did and then I move in to something else.
Is this as terrible as I fear it is?
Is there something wrong with being the more serious parent while my husband is the goofy one? Sometimes I think I’m a terrible mother.
