Yes to both and he has hit\hurt me for 2 years. I stayed with him because he would say "I promise I'll change,  don't leave me...please" while crying,  so I gave him 6 chances and yet nothing changed but instead got worse..

Literally every time I didn’t do what he wanted me to 🙄  usually something along the lines of “oh great now look at what you’ve done, I’m feeling suicidal again” or “I’m really depressed now and I wanna kill myself” 
He never meant it, he just used it to control me and fuck with my head.

No because I wouldn’t put up or stay in that kind of relationship. That’s not healthy.
