Progesterone and how important it is

Hey ladies

I wanted to share my story, hopefully this helps someone. I consider myself a late bloomer; so of course marriage came in my late 30’s and babies took a while to conceive. I went to multiple doctors and all signs pointed to IVF. So we tried it 2x, both were unsuccessful and both gave low egg counts. I went to a more natural doctor whose not a fan of IVF. He stated I was showing signs of fertilization so the egg and the sperm met and fertilized just for some reason no implantation. He tested my progesterone levels 3 consecutive days. All of them were low. Right before ovulation I had a sonogram and he saw I had 2 growing eggs he send me home with a bottle of progesterone and told me to buy mucinex and a baking soda douche. Have sex during the week; 1x day was fine And start taking my progesterone pills 3x a day after ovulation. I was excited finally a doctor giving me a reason why I had never been pregnant in-spite of my regular periods. We followed all his instructions, I must admit we missed our highest peak day thanks to my husband horrible migraines. I thought our chances were over for the month due to that one day. But I continued with my progesterone pills. Two weeks later before my missed period the doctor send me for beta. It was positive. All my years of trying; all the guilt and shame for not understanding why my body wasn’t working properly all gone. All because of 3 little pills I took a day. Now I’m four months pregnant and couldn’t be happier. I believe this is probably happening to so many women and no one picks up on it. Even with IVF it didn’t work my progesterone was 21; the IVF doctor wanted it to be over 20, but my body needed more. Full disclosure I was taking Ubiqunol 600mg a day, folate acid, and vitamin D plus my prenatal vitamins, I was preparing my eggs to be healthy. Don’t think because we are older our eggs are damaged they just need more support as they prepare to become fertilized. All testing so far states I’m having a healthy baby. The doctor is Dr David and he’s in NYC, he’s worth every penny and sooo much cheaper then IVF. He also wrote a book Making Babies to explain more or his ideas and theories. I ’m sorry this is so long. But I really hope this can make a difference in someones life as it made a difference in mine. I know what it feels like to desperately desire a baby. And I truly hope this helps. God Bless.
