6 week pp checkup?

When did you make your appointment for your checkup? My babies a week old, I’m not sure if I should call and schedule it right now or just wait a few more weeks.

I made my 6 week pp check up before I left the hospital. I’d call and make it now just to ensure they have availability.

I work at an OBGYN office and I can tell you that at my office, you should schedule ASAP. Some women even schedule theirs before baby is born if they’re being induced or have a scheduled csection. 
With that being said, my office is really hard to get into. Right now we’re booking out to April and most of our 11 docs are full through March except for emergency spots. So long story short, schedule now.

I waited too long and won't be able to have none until 9 weeks pp 😅 I'm not concerned about anything though and I'm in no rush to have sex yet so it doesn't bother me. Honestly you can never make an appointment too early!

Also they wanted me too before leaving. Was just getting ahead of stuff. Lol

I made mine at my last doctor’s appointment because I was being induced a few days later and just decided to schedule it ahead because my OB/GYN is always booked.

My first we had an OB and I ended up going into labour and had an appointment with him the morning after I went into labour so I got my husband to call as soon as they opened to cancel that appointment as I was still in labour. The receptionist was funny, as he was canceling it she was acting all pissy because my appointment was like in 30 mins after opening but once he told her it was because I was in the process of giving birth, her mood totally changed and was all congratulations etc and asked if we wanted to schedule our 6 week appointment, so we did then.

I’d go ahead and call to schedule it.. I called about 3-4 days PP because the receptionist forgot to schedule it for me while I was at the hospital.
