Where you live, do people actually respect the lockdown rules?

I’m in the UK and everyone is out and about because for once it’s nice outside so everyone treats this as a joke as if we’re on holiday 😒 Someone commented on a facebook post saying no one she knows has it so who’s dying from it?  Smfh it’s ignorant people like this who are spreading this virus around. It’s ridiculous, look at Italy how many deaths they have. Doctors are literally having to choose between who survives and who dies. It’s heartbreaking how ignorant people can be

I'm in Chicago (the U.S.) and I think people were today years old when they finally started taking this seriously. 🙄 the mayor had to finally tell people to stay off the river walk, common busy places, parks, ect because yesterday the weather hit 60 and people apparently forgot we're in the middle of some crazy shit?! Hopefully NOW from here on out, people here will take this seriously.

I don’t go out to know lol. I’ve only been out for walks around the neighborhood the last 2 weeks. I didn’t notice any gatherings and people seemed to be respecting the 6 feet around us.

Some are and some aren’t. It’s harder for people to partake in lockdowns I think the more strict the lockdown is. I’ve heard it compared to dieting. It’s one thing to say no more cookies for the foreseeable future, it’s another thing to say nothing sweet at all for the foreseeable future. Most people would find it easier to follow no cookies. However, what are the quarantine rules in the UK currently? I thought it was just those over 70 and those with vulnerable immune systems that had to quarantine and everyone else could go about their business. Over here I think it’s hard for people to follow because we don’t have a timetable and we don’t know a lot of details that would help ease people’s nerves and paranoia. A lot of people are obsessing over hindsight in critiquing government responses. At this point it really doesn’t matter what political party is in charge or who’s president, this outbreak was going to happen regardless and I highly doubt there’s not a thing they could’ve done to make a different outcome. I’m sure they’re having the same arguments in every country impacted by this though

UK here as well. I’ve only left the house to walk my dog in the past 2 weeks but everytime I do there are lots of people out, but at least today I saw the police stopping some of my neighbours who were just all gathered on the street. It’s nice to see the police are taking it seriously to some degree

There are no lockdown rules where I am rn. Tuesday started the suggestion of working from home if possible, but many people cannot.

Kind of. People still go to parks/walking trails, but our stay at home order says that’s okay as long as we maintain 6 feet. 
However I did see some kids playing on the playground today and there were like 12 of them (that’s two broken rules).  
I think that’s why it’s so important for the government to step in and close down things like that (fence off playgrounds, enforce non essential places to close, etc).  I mean, it’s a tricky line though  - we obviously need some government oversight, but not too much where it tramples on rights.
