Plant lovers???

Question

I’m looking for suggestions or advice on what house plant to get. I have never had a real one so I’m a bit scared and lost... 
Here is a pic of what I think I like (that plantar holder is sooo cute too) 
I’m hoping for something low maintenance...

Love those!! I have a snake plant and it’s almost zero maintenance. Grows nice and tall too!

I have a bird of paradise plant 🌱 they’re super easy to care for. I water it every 3-4 days and keep it next to a window that doesn’t get direct sunlight. Monstera Deliciosas are also easy to look after (second pic) 💕 PS don’t mind the bite mark on the leaf in the top photo - I put it outside on the balcony for some air and a grasshopper got to it 😂

I have a peace lily that are really easy and very beautiful. They are also very air purifying

BoP are great, monsteras, pothos and philodendeons are great starters.. I'd stay away from succulents unless you have an area that gets 6-8 near direct sun line a day...

My mom has over 100 houseplants. She really likes succulents. They’re fairly easy to take care of!

I’d go to a nursery and tell them that you need a low maintenance houseplant that’s hard to kill (since it’s your first).  Also, know where you want to put it and how much light it will get throughout the day. They can direct you to certain plants that will do better in that specific lighting (some need lots of light and others only a little bit).  
Also, pay attention to planters/pots. If they don’t have a hole in the bottom then don’t get it because plants need drainage or it’ll get swampy in there. (Unless you’re going to drill your own hole).
