Spitting up remedy!

Hello my baby is almost 6 months and starting spitting up a lot! I contacted his pediatrician and asked me to add one table spoon of ground cereal like gerber’s to the bottle to thicken it!

I read about this they say it’s a choking hazards so asked the doctor again and he said not if it’s shaken and blended very well with the milk!

Has anyone passed by same experience and his pediatrician recommended the same?
