Wedding Question

I have been invited to a lot of out of state random friend weddings of people or family members I am not close with at all. I don't have the money to fly out and attend these weddings. Do I still have to send a gift??

I almost feel like I got invited because they know I won't come. But they still want a gift. I have so many of these types of events next year. I don't have a ton of money.

And let me clarify. These are second cousins who I don't see more then once every ten years lol
