Potty training advice- for almost 3 yr old girl

j

All right guys, my little girl does not want to use the potty.

She is extremely verbal- she talks in paragraphs. She completely understands what the potty is for. We have tried the commando way, (and failed) before-- and I gave up because-- she would pee every 5 minutes- and when she realized this, she just wouldn't get off the potty. She'd sit there all day, and demand a diaper for pooping. We did stickers/chart/m&ms. Still not into it.

She didn't have any accidents, but she wouldn't get off the pot. Haha

We abandoned potty training because we were having all kinds of house issues- so it became impossible for me to watch her all day.

My husband's mother told me that my husband was the same way--and didn't potty train until he was 4. She said that he would literally stand at the toilet and tell her bullet points about why he was not going to use it. She had to tell him he was not allowed to go to school until he could use the potty. :o

This is my child. She won't tell me why she doesn't want to use the potty-- just that she doesn't like it and she would rather have a diaper/pull up. She does not tell me when she is wet, and doesn't seem to mind it-- but does let me know that she pooped.

I would just like to potty train her before her third birthday. Because diapers are expensive. And we have now resorted to pull-ups during the day and diapers at night. So, double $$.
