Plan b?

Posting in all the groups ! Has anyone taken plan b while breastfeeding? I haven’t had my period yet after birthing my son 5 months ago . Just wondering if it’s safe and if it made your period come back .
Yes I will be ringing my dr soon or asking the pharmacist

I’m pretty sure the boxes say not safe while pregnant or consult with your dr if nursingwbich usually means it’s not the safest to take while nursing

Yup I was told it’s fine to take by my dr and lactation lady.

I’ve taken it twice while breastfeeding and it was fine. It is safe for breastfeeding it says it when you look it up and no it doesn’t have estrogen in it.

I wouldn't. It does awful things to your body and likely will mess with breastfeeding since I believe it has estrogen in it. I took it once when not breastfeeding and it isnt something I want to experience again.
Are you just trying to make your period come? If so you can do things like ween off breastfeeding or even upping your food intake so your body doesnt believe it needs all its resources for boob juice and baby. Supposedly, because of this, a lot of women will get their period again at 6 months as baby transitions to solid food. Although some women might not get their period until breastfeeding completely stops. Just note that you may still ovulate even if you havent had your period.
