Anyone here a Optimologist?

I went in for an eye exam yesterday and they said my optic nerve heads are elevated in both eyes. She seemed very concerned and referred me to see an optimologist within the week. We are not made of money and we just spent $700 on new glasses. How concerned should I be?

I had this same problem. Are you on BC? That’s often a cause of it. It’s important to follow up with the specialist on this one, though, just to be safe. On the average it’s usually from BC or hormonal changes, or intracranial hypertension, but on the (less common) more serious side it could be a brain tumor or MS. They’ll likely have you do a brain MRI and possibly a spinal tap. It’s not something I’d put off. But again, in most cases it’s nothing and simply gets monitored. Positive vibes your way!

Might be nothing, mine are raised and they said I probably get a lot of migraines(I don't). They since just monitored.
