What to do on rainy beach days

Question

We have a 3-day local beach getaway coming up and unfortunately it’s looking like rain every day. What do you do with an almost 3-year-old during a rainy beach vacation? ￼Do you go to the beach anyways? My thought is that it could be a good thing because the beaches will be much less crowded. We could still plan to go as long as it’s not thundering and lightning…

Hit the local aquarium one day, and just hope for breaks in the rain. But honestly if it were me, I’d reschedule if at all possible.

Omg. We are in the same exact position. I'm hoping the rain misses us or at least there are some breaks through out the day. I have a 3 year old as well. We are planning on bringing some board games (age appropriate) as well as adult board games (for night time) just incase. And of course my LO will be aloud screen time since it's a small cottage and not much to do inside since it's a rental and I can't bring all the sensory bins and craft material. We may have to go for a drive or even just play in the puddles/rain anyway as long as it's not lightning. 🤷🏻
