Vaseline and condoms !!!

So I have been talking to this guy for a few months and now we are now sexually active. We had sex almost every day For over a week. Yes we did use condoms however I was using Vaseline as lube. I was not aware that these two are not compatible. Please don’t say I am uneducated or immature because I honestly just did not know. My ex and I were in a relationship for years and we did not use condoms so yeah. I believe it was my week of ovulation. No I am not having symptoms and my period is due in couple days, should I take a test just to make sure as I have any event coming up and do not want to be irresponsible if I am caring a child.

* I wanted to add that I am fully capable of taking care of a child if something were to happen. I have a child already and so does he.
