Anyones early scan was 2 days behind and it was all fine?

Question

So my scan at 6+6 (lmp) showed a heartbeat and a baby that measured 6+4. 
Today at 8 weeks (lmp) baby showed 7+5. Still 2 days behind. Heartbeat was 170. 
Doctor said its fine and its so small that it can vary 1-2 days. 
Any experience with this? I guess its good that its still 2 days behind its kinda following the right growth.

It's totally normal to measure a few days behind. 2+ weeks is concerning. But up to that it's pretty common

I think my first scan was measuring like 5 days behind. By the birth I had a 9 lb 7 oz baby, completely healthy. All of the ultrasounds are estimates and can be a little off. Or you may have just ovulated a little later than you thought. Could be many completely harmless reasons for scan measurements to be unaligned with last menstrual period estimates.

Yep. Totally normal. Going by LMP is assuming a “traditional” 28 day cycle with ovulation on CD14, which almost no one actually has. Also ultrasound measurements aren’t perfect. They’re measuring something super tiny chia sound waves! They’re pretty good but can be off by up to 6 days in either direction. That date will also like shift a few days in each direction is you were to get multiple scans.

That’s pretty common and not concerning.
Going based on LMP assumes you ovulated at CD14 and have a 28 day cycle. Also, implantation can occur anywhere from 6-12dpo. Both of these factors can cause dates to be slightly off and it’s okay!
