Water broke at 28 weeks

On Saturday June 18th my water broke at 10:30am. I got to the hospital and they put me on a magnesium drip to help prevent baby from getting a brain bleed and hopefully also stop contractions long enough to get the steroid shots in. Well I was finally able to get off the drip at 3am this morning (June 20th) and my contractions have not returned yet. Basically now we just wait to see if I go into labor or not. Has anyone had a similar experience? What ended up happening? How long did it take the magnesium to wear off or were you able to just stay pregnant for a while?
