Child ate leaves and soil?

Should I be worried?! The leaves had some black spots on them I swear I looked away for a second and she grabbed a handful and ate it. Now I’m scared my baby could get botulism or some form bacterial infection. Yes I’m a FTM with severe anxiety and I gave her water to drink after.

Oh let’s see, my kids have eaten (or put in their mouth) their fair share of dirt, cricket, June bug, chicken poop, dog poop, chicken food, dog food, etc. You can’t watch every second of their lives and kids are gross.

It happens! My kids have eaten dirt and other outdoor things many times. Keep an eye on her but She will probably be just fine!

My mom told me that her grandparents used to say, “you have to eat a peck of dirt at least once before you die.” I know it’s weird but I think it’s a way of saying don’t sweat the small stuff.

I wouldn't worry about it! Kids do stuff like that all the time. My cousins used to eat ants all the time lol My 4 year old was helping me cook dinner last night and he wanted to crack the eggs. He cracked the eggs and while he was walking to wash his hands as instructed he shoved his fingers in his mouth with the raw egg all over them. 🤦🏻‍♀️
