My boyfriend (23) and I (24) are currently in the process of looking for a house.

After the agent canceled on us 4 times to view this home, and finding out the photos are old and the owners are hoarders, we decided to cancel.

Unbeknownst to me, as we don’t live together, my boyfriend never called the agent to cancel. He was handling this as he would be paying and has done this before, I haven’t. (Before someone says ”but your older” I am, by 3 months haha)

Today at 11, the agent called my boyfriend who informed him we were not coming. I’m not sure how it all went down, but he told my boyfriend he was going to charge us for the showing. I didn’t even know you had to pay to begin with!

The closest thing I found online says he can’t do it, but I’m not sure. He doesn’t have any info except my boyfriends phone number and first name.

I know that not calling the agent was horrible and I’ve already talked to my boyfriend about it, so no need to comment that we should’ve called, we already know!

EDIT:

Talked to my mom who say that this guy was lying, and found out the company is a scam agency pretty much. I also found out he drive a ways in the snow, we were hit with a snow storm last night, and feel even worse. But I also know he should called to check we were still coming.
