Not for hair and makeup, but to brush my teeth yes if my child is fed and has a fresh diaper on.

No, I only say no because my daughter is 5 months old. If she's crying she's hungry or tired and I don't put her off in those cases. Usually though she is a touch me not and just wants to play on her play mat, munch on teethers and roll around. Those are the moments I use for housework, getting myself together and all that jaz. I use this thing in the picture below for showers and anytime she may decide she wants to be near me if I'm needing to finish something up. It's been a life saver. They're about 35-40$ on Amazon & seem to keep her fairly interested for about 20-30 minutes.

My daughter is 3 months and she'll lay there and fuss because she wants/needs interaction, which isn't a problem, but I'll let her fuss when I have to potty, or straighten the house, or whatever I need to do. It's not hurting her and I only let her fuss, not cry. If she's crying, then I know she's hungry or has a dirty diaper.

Not exactly hair and makeup but if I need to clean or wash dishes or something and I can see her Safely in her little chair harness with her cartoons on and toys galore. I'll let her have a sook because if she does sook she normally gets over it in a few seconds
