Swelling in my feet, legs and ankles

I an 4 days pp and I've noticed everything from my feet to legs are really swollen. My son is currently in the Nicu and I spend about 8 hrs a day up there with him. Could me sitting up there all day on the concrete floor be a reason for the swelling or is it just a natural thing your body goes through pp?
