My MIL had an interesting view on

Lights on at night. My SO works overnights and I'm paranoid lol. So, I leave our living room tv and light on, bathroom light, and kitchen light on when I go to bed, leaving the 3 bedrooms, dining room, and other bathroom lights off.

Her take on it was that will alert a burglar of something put of the ordinary and they will break in. Do you agree with that statement? Or is it hogwash. Neither he nor I can quite make sense out of why that would draw more attention to burglars.
