TMI question - 6 days after birth blood smells terrible?

Sorry way TMI . I gave birth 6 days ago. I haven't had very heavy bleeding at all and only a couple small clots. My labia minora tore in half as far in as I can see it. (not sure if associated to question probably not) as of today I noticed a really horrible smell when I would use the bathroom and I found it came from the fresh blood coming out of me not just the blood on the pad. Is this normal /what can I do about it?
