Concert vs Boyfriend

So I'm trying to go to a concert with my boyfriends cousin, it's a genre/artist he doesn't like or even know. he wants to rain on our parade my going not cus he wants to genuinely enjoy the concert but because he wants to keep an eye on me. He says that's what boyfriends do and I said no that's what obsessive boyfriends do. So I told him I would post it on eve to get input from you guys on the app so he can understand that his reason ain't right and that anyone would agree with me.
