Advice on moving states away

What would y'all do? I was born in California, raised in Texas. My fiance is Texas born and raised. My whole family minus my dad, are there in California. Only my dad is here. My fiances whole family is here in Texas, but he doesn't care for any one in his family and hardly sees any of them or even cares to. We are struggling financially and staying with his parents currently with a baby on the way and a 4 year old. His parents are making us both beyond stressed. We were talking about moving to California with my family if we can't comfortably have our own place and everything here by June /July once the baby is born and my coming up college semester has ended. My mom is moving to Redding CA which is a lot more like Texas than the area I was born in (Salinas). But I love Texas. I hate California laws, especially on guns and things. But minimum wage is MUCH higher and the area my mom is moving is actually priced about the same as Texas prices. I wanted to get land in Fredericksburg. My man is a redneck. He drives a tractor, does construction on the highway, and work as a general mechanic on the weekends. They do have that there, especially in that area. But it just won't be Texas. However, were struggling and the only family I care to see and miss, is there. His parents are the same age as my grandparents and hell be upset when they pass away so far away, but at the same time, they make him miserable and stress us out. They're all drama. But we would both have to make all new friends and stuff. But it will probably be a better life financially for us. Plus my mom would baby sit our kids. So free baby sitter. What are yalls opinions? Cali perks: My family, higher wages, less stress. Texas perks: Friends, We know this place, and it's Texas. Better laws. More friendly people in general. Southern hospitality. Thoughts? Advice?
