Does your GPA matter?

does it really Matter like in terms of being succesful or not? people tend to say being smart in High school and having a high GPA gets you far in life, You can have more opportunities to get in a better college etc..than having a low GPA won't get you far in life and probably won't get you into any college.My GPA is a 3.1 colleges look at GPA that are higher i really want to go to college and don't want my GPA to prevent me from not being succesful and getting into the college i want to go
