Is morality subjective?

Just as he title says, do you believe morality is subjective? I do. Reason being that not everyone has the same rules or views regarding morals. Sure, there are set societal morals such as don’t kill but the morals that make us as a person is a different story. 
One person may view coverage like a hijab as moral, another maybe pants or a skirt with short sleeves, another maybe nudity is okay. Or possibly someone views environmental protections as moral so they do their best to recycle and walk/bike places. Another person may not view it that way and drive. Some people view premarital sex or abortion as immoral, someone else might not.
This is why I believe morality is subjective, it’s up to the person to set what they view as moral. I personally believe that when people realize this, and stop trying to force their own personal moral obligations on others, will we be truly equal society.

Morality is subjective. We might have some morals that are the same or similar, but there are people who have completely different morals than others. Morals are based around cultural backgrounds and life backgrounds. We don’t all come from the same cultures and backgrounds.

Of course! 
I’m an atheist Mom of 3 boys. I’m pro choice and understand that pre marital sex is extremely likely, and that’s ok. I’m also recently divorced. I’m a big bag of sin if someone religious is judging me. 
That being said, I believe in equality for people. I’m an LGTBQ supporter. I’m a lover of all races and try to understand their cultures. I’m raising my children to be emotionally, religiously, and intellectually diverse. I’m teaching them to love people and respect others. 
I have morals. They may not match yours and I’m ok with that. I try not to judge as long as it doesn’t infringe on the freedoms of others.

I don't think morality itself is what's subjective. Right is right, wrong is wrong. It's wrong to cheat, steal, lie. It's wrong to kill. Mercy, understanding, kindness, compassion, acceptance and forgiveness is what I feel is more subjective.

Like I’m pro sex work because I think, morally, we should care more about ensuring the safety of sex workers. 
Others, think that sex is immoral, and would rather sex work remain illegal (thereby continuing the cycle of danger that sex workers face). Because priorities 🤦‍♀️.

Yes, especially from an anthropological standpoint. Different cultures throughout time have had their own morals, some of which we would find appalling today (child sacrifice, for example).

Absolutely. For example, my personal morals are very specific on killing animals for the purpose of consuming them: if factory farmed, it is wrong, but one animal is not more wrong in the other to consume. My morals don’t separate animals into categories of what is more acceptable to eat than another. I have friends who are highly against eating cow meat in their morals, but don’t see an issue with eating pigs/dogs/fish/etc. I have friends who love to eat cows but have an issue with people who eat dogs because their morals are that dogs should be treated as a member of the family, not food; etc. 
I personally see an issue most of the time with eating any animals, not just certain ones, in my morality, but it comes with one strong exception. As a meat eater I quite loved big cats but if you had put an already cooked slice of tiger meat in front of me I likely would have consumed it without another thought as my morals are also that already prepared meat must not be wasted, and although one animal may be cooler or nicer than other, I would consider it hypocritical and possibly xenophobic of me to call others weird or gross for eating it just because I thought it shouldn’t be eaten. So I definitely think morality is very subjective.

Yes, morality is subject. But to address the portion you mentioned of forcing your own morals on others for a truly equal society..... if your morals and beliefs actively discriminate against other groups of people who are not harming anyone (voting for or supporting discriminatory policies or laws) then people will naturally stand up for themselves based on their own morals that all people should be treated equally.

Definitely subjective based on things like beliefs, culture, upbringing and religion (which can often determine these things) however I think that acceptance of other people’s morals are important and understanding that although this may not be for you. It doesn’t make the other person and their different views wrong.

Yup and when morals become accepted by a large amount of people is when it becomes part of society.

When you talk about “being truly equal society” though you have to be aware that people will use this as an excuse for hatred, which is not equal. Tolerating hate isn’t equal. The thing is, no one is forcing their views by telling someone to just accept them. Someone is forcing their views by creating laws and rules that infringe on a persons rights and sense of self. Just because one person views a hijab as immoral doesn’t mean their view should have any power in society at all, and someone simply wearing a hijab is not them forcing their views, them advocating for the right to wear it for themselves is not forcing their views and sense of morality on others. If it’s not hurting someone else theres no “force” to it. Hate hurts, people being themselves and wearing what they like and practice their own beliefs, doesn’t. Just to make sure everyone understands that important fact regarding this topic of morality 🙃
