I don’t have a kid yet but I absolutely love the name Mateo the only thing is. I’m not Hispanic or Latino and I don’t want to get a ton of shit from people or my kid to get made fun of. Because he’s not the ethnicity of the origin of where the name came from and I doubt my bf will agree on the name but let say he did do you think it would be wrong for me to name him that seeing how he would be a mixed kid just with white and black and not and Hispanic or Latino in him?

Or should I just name him that because I love the name
