Is he wrong for feeling this way?

Ladies, my husband and I had talk and feels like this is his first baby even though it will be his second. He said his ex wife never let him hear the heart beat, be there for the ultrasounds, wouldn't let him feel his child's kicks, and wouldn't let him be in the delivery room. He said he couldn't even be that excited for his first because he didn't get to experience any of that. Now that I am pregnant with my first and his second, he feels like this is his first because he gets to experience the heart beat, ultrasounds, movements, doctor appts, and delivery room. He said he is super excited. Is he wrong for feeling this way? He said he loves his daughter and won't treat her any different when the baby is born.
