Credit checks when applying for jobs
I was listening to a podcast earlier and it talked about credit checks when applying for jobs. The last two positions I worked in did credit checks, but I’m not sure how common it is. You could argue that having good credit shows responsibility. On the other hand, it’s another poverty trap that could keep low income people from getting ahead.
I was just curious to see everyone’s thoughts on this.
