Another suing scenario

My husband told me about this case a few years back:

Somebody commits burglary at a residence. When leaving the residence, that person trips over a sprinkler head and breaks their ankle. They then sues the homeowner in court for becoming injured while on their property and WIN.

Do you think the burglar should have won?

That’s a resounding NO from me, but I can see how he won. I can see how (from a legal standpoint) the fact that he was injured on their property has nothing to do with the fact that he burglarized their home. But if I was the judge I wouldn’t have awarded him shit.
