What do you use to dry babys butt?

When changing a diaper, do you use anything to dry their skin? 
My 10 day old butt is red from being wet so frequently. Any suggestions?

Air dry. Diaper cream for rash and air dry after a clean bum

A dermatologist told us to use our blow dryer on his bum. Cool setting on low. Drys quick and helps to decrease diaper rash :)

I just let her air dry before closing the diaper. It usually doesn’t take very long to do it that way.

It may be red from poop? Diaper cream will clear it right up either way.

You can leave him out on a towel for a bit to air dry his bottom. Maybe with a washcloth covering his penis to prevent a spray accident. Then put on a good thick layer of diaper cream. My pediatrician said what kind is up to you, they are all pretty much the same. Just make sure you put a thick enough layer that there is still some there next time you change him. It seems like a lot but it will help the redness clear up!
