My family is disagreeing to my wedding date

Hi lovelies,am deeply confused and don’t know what to do .my dad family is disagreeing to my wedding date which is January 12 and 13 ,saying is too early and they all wan to meet my fiancé before we talk about wedding.they want the wedding to hold by April

Meanwhile my dad has given approval fr January 12 and 13 and we have started preparations,we have paid fr cake, hall,food , drinks and even invited friends and family from all over the country.

Now my dad said he won’t approve if my family doesn’t approve

I and my fiancé plan to travel round this week to visit my family members but still they are saying even after the visit they won’t agree to the date,because they don’t want to start 2019 with wedding,after spending so much time and money fr Christmas and new year celebration.

Am really confused please what do I do?this is so depressing fr me and my fiancé how do we cancel date and the things we have bought,what do we do?
