im about to be 20, my boyfriend is about to be 21. lately things have just been weird, my boyfriend always acts annoyed and has this weird vibe with me. kind of snappy, and just gets in a mood where it seems like he resents me? It hurts and it’s super draining but he also claims he wants to be with me? I’ve talked to him about this? I feel like he doesn’t realize what he has or appreciate me? Like sometimes he even hangs up on me. How do I fix this? Is a break good? Breaking up? Give me advice please.

I would try talking to him again. Sit him down and tell him what’s on your mind. It’s so important to have healthy, productive communication in any relationship. If he refuses to have an open conversation and/or doesn’t start treating you the way you think you deserve then the relationship needs to end. You know how you should be treated girl. Please don’t settle for less. But it is possible that he is overly stressed and/or depressed. Just try talking to him hon.

I’m in the same boat :) my bf suffers from depression so when ever I bring up the slightest annoyance he pouts and shuts me out. Like last week brought up the fact that I had to drive home on Thursday and I wouldn’t see him till Monday and he completely shut me out, I didn’t do it intending to make him mad I just wanted him to know I was going home a day earlier than normal. But communication is key! I told him if he’s upset he can’t just shut me out, he can’t pout. Because the time I spend with him is so short and I don’t want it to be spent in a silent argument. So we generally talk it out which turns into jokes which turns us both into happier people. I know its frustrating but be patient and talk it out. And I’m not saying his depression is funny!!! Not at all what I’m saying I love and support him fully through everything I don’t raise my voice and I don’t throw fits. I just sit and listen to what he wants to say to what triggered it and we go from there.
