Meeting a guy that has no social media? Single women

Question

So my guy friend is single and was talking to me how when he meets girls out in the world and asks for numbers they instead want to give him their Instagram or Facebook and not their actual phone number.. he said he tells them he doesn’t have any social media because he doesn’t and they tell him that creepy or weird.. he is 27 years old. 
I’m married been with my husband for 10 years neither of us have social media so I’m not really any help on this. 
So my question is if you meet a guy and he has absolutely no social media do you instantly think it’s creepy or something is wrong with that and don’t want to talk to him because of that? 
Or do you find their could be reasons to not feel trust in a single guy with no social media?

I think it's pathetic that that's a deal breaker to some people. They'd rather forgo what could be a fantastic relationship in real life because the virtual world is more important.

You can get to know a lot about a person by what they post online, what they comment on or like, who they follow, etc. I could see if I was dating again how I just wouldn’t even want to waste the extra time getting to know someone that it would take with someone who didn’t have social media vs someone who does.

I’ve dated a few guys who don’t do social media... so not weird to me. And they weren’t lying either, these were serious several years long relationships. To me is says they are less creepy. Guys who are very into social media tend to be self-centered and possibly fuck boi types. I mean dudes posting selfies all the time are big turn offs for me. I tend to date guys who either don’t have it, or aren’t frequent flyers. They have Facebook and just go on every now and then. But I’m also in my 30s Facebook started as an exclusive college thing, not everyone and literally your grandma.

I have Instagram. He has nothing. I didn't think it was weird. Neither of us have Facebook, twitter, etc. I know other people are super surprised when either of us say we don't have Facebook, but I don't think it's "creepy". When you think about it social media is actually creepy lol

I'd love it if my husband didn't have social media if would be a little more than getting home from work and watching him still work but on the sofa instead of a desk. He's probably going after the wrong type of girl. I think for them to say what they said to him is weird and creepy

It’s not a deal breaker to me, but it is scary, and makes me hesitant to meet. It’s just common knowledge that most people will (or should) look up the person they’re meeting before doing so. A few of the guys I’ve talked to in the past told me they didn’t have social media, ended up being married/in a relationship, and I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t do my research. Not to mention the guy could be catfishing or a murderer or a creep 😬 I also don’t like it (this is a more personal reason), because they don’t get memes and usually don’t have the same sense of humor as me, but if I really end up liking the person it’s not always a no-go.

My other half doesn’t have social media accounts either. He used to have a Facebook account but came off it as he got sick of it. 
It’s definitely not creepy to not have it. It’s actually refreshing and nice that he hasn’t.

I dont think its creepy at all. I rarely use social media (just this really) and I recently deleted my Facebook. I'm 23. If they dont have it I just assume they're like me and just don't care enough to have them.
