Is this controlling? I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s abuse but maybe it is. Do you let your partner dictate what you wear?

A few weeks ago I went to my bfs plug. My bf asked me what I was wearing on the way there & I told him, the same thing I was wearing when he saw me last (shorts & a t shirt) well according to him my shorts were too short to be at another guys house ( even though I never come in the plug will come to my car or I’ll just wait at his door) I won’t lie the shorts were short but it’s not like my ass was hanging out. I told my bf I wouldn’t wear the shorts anymore since it bothered him that bad. NOW tonight I went to the plugs house, my bf asked me what I was wearing & I told him as you’ll see in our screenshots. I honestly don’t know what to do any more he can never talk calmly & solve a situation he always has to be rude to me, yelling or cursing..
