Baby Oliver has arrived!
Born yesterday at 11:23 am weighing 9 lbs 2 oz , measuring 21 inches tall, with a head circumference of 14 inches. Started labor the day of his due date!
I was reluctant to induce monitor or get an ebidural but ended up using all three to my relief. I had painful contractions on Tuesday but I was not progressing so I went home at 2 am only to return to the hospital by 6 am because you can only walk off the pain for so long. I was making progress so they admitted me. It took forever to get my epidural but afterwards I progressed much faster with the help pitocin and manually breaking my water. My epidural allowed me to still have control but I felt no pain. Only had to push for 30 minutes even with his big size. And I didn't feel the stitches I needed for my 2nd degree tear. And we were able to breastfeed! This picture is a couple minutes after he was born!
