Trying to show appreciation to doctor..?

Question

I really liked my OB and she stayed to deliver my baby(along with others that day I'm sure)hours after her 24 hour shift was over and I just feel so much appreciation towards her and doctors now after being pregnant, would it be weird if I brought her flowers or something at my 6 week check up??
I shared this thought with someone and they said "well they do get paid to stay" so that made me feel weird towards it now.. keep in mind I've never met this OB until a few months pregnant.

I mean doctors don’t get paid to stay. They get paid based on services. My OB delivered my baby and I was lucky enough she was there to do it. I brought her a small gift. I don’t think it’s weird but I understand why people think it is.

I'm sure she would appreciate it very much! I made a goodie basket for the nurses and the doctor when I had my baby! They loved it.

I thought about doing this too. My doctor guided me through a couple tricky situations with my pregnancy and I’m so appreciative of everything she did for me.

I would take something for the whole office as a provider is not supposed to accept "gifts". I think it is a sweet idea and I'm sure she would like whatever you choose 😁💗

I asked my mom to get cookies for the nurses station after my daughter was born, and a gift card for the one nurse who was really a part of that day. I have to say that I have never met another nurse who was so amazing!

No! That is so sweet of you , my husband and I bought the nurses lunch one day and took them some sweets to show appreciation

She would love them im sure. I work in healthcare and although it is my job to care for patients and i do get paid to do it, it is always heartwarming when patients truly appreciate the care we give aside from it being out job!
