My Sons Grandparents SUCK

I need to rant about parents as grandparents to my son. I’ve struggled with this so much from the day I told them I was pregnant. My mom was excited to hear I was pregnant but my dad ignored me. That was fabulous.

My son was born 6.5 weeks early and placed in the NICU. My parents went up north after he was born. That really hurt my feels. I needed support. He was in the NICU with breathing issues and they just...left.

My son is now 1 years old and my parents have only watched him a handful of times. I don’t ask much and they only offered a few times. They watch my brothers son every other Wednesday. They have watched him over night and for a week while they went on vacation.

I asked if they could and when they could watch my son over night and they won’t give me an answer. I only get a “possibly”.

I am feeling really sad that my parents are not involved with my son. It’s so unfortunate.

Anyone else have this issue?
