Baby happy then suddenly cries like the cry during vaccine

Hi. My 3 mos. baby was so happy yesterday on her stroller at the mall and then after 2 hrs i am about to feed her so we went to the feeding room and changed her nappy then positioned her on my boob then she just started crying. I though she just doesn't want to feed or feel sleepy as she normally cries when i will feed her when she is already sleepy. But she didn't stop while i am cuddling her and all the things which i normally do when she will cry and she strated screaming and her face is all red and non stop crying. It's the same cry and face she had during her vaccine so it seems like something hurt her but i couldn't figure coz we just changed her that's all. I removed her nappy and still she is crying hysterically. Then we walk out of the feeding room and she lay low a bit with the cry but still her face is red so we decided to go to the hospital inside the mall. The dr. said probably it is colic as she doesn't have any fever or something as normally colic happens instantly like that. Anyone have colic baby and experienced the same thing. It was really scary as we don't know what happened to her coz she was in a good mood the whole time and then she just cried suddenly.
